Southern Girls Challenge #170 – Stripey McStripes

Team Lou is back with another challenge – where oh where did that last 30 days disappear to….??

I hope you are inspired with all the stripes on show on the blog from the rest of the Team Lou girls – such lovely projects. Our stripe challenge is sponsored by a couple of great sponsors:

and

Mine is a scrapbook layout – back to my favourite version of papercraft…. and I’ve used both a little bit of stripey paper to be very literal with the challenge, as well as creating stripey effects with strips of patterned paper, and washi..

This photo is from when my youngest boy and I took a road trip in the Easter holidays – I literally pulled over before hitting the motorway heading north because the sunset was just too amazing for words.

Layers of papers running in the same direction to create horizontal stripes….

The coloured bits from the striped patterned paper fussy cut to give me just the colours I wanted – and creating a stripey banner grouping.

And as a base to the floral elements, small tags – with a stripey feel.

I hope you have loads of fun with your striped projects – be sure to share them over on the challenge blogpost.

Happy crafting, Kelly.
