Southern Girls Challenge 150: about a boy

Team Lou is back this week with challenge number 150…. and we’re all about the boys this time…. the girls have produced some lovely cards for the boys in your lives and you’ll get loads of inspiration on the challenge site!

My contribution is a little on the lateral side thanks to my teens ban on mama’s photography! But our beloved pooch is a boy dog…. so I got a masculine layout in *wink*.

We’re so lucky that Angus the Dog is pretty tolerant of the things we dress him up with…. poor pup! One of the things I wanted to do in working with this layout was avoid using blue because we’re doing boy themed projects… and I therefore used a fairly neutral palette with yellow, black, grey and white – with pops of red.

Enamel dots and puffy stickers – what’s not to love??

The adorable stuffed heart came from my first ever Paper Issues order – I ordered one of their Swag Bags – which are sampling of bits and bobs each month that Cassie puts together. And it truly is happy mail with the gorgeously wrapped tissue and ribbon!

And the journalling – how did I forget that in the first photo??!

Anyway, the Southern Girls would love to see your takes on the new theme – go take a look at the gorgeous creations the Team Lou girls have put together and be sure to add your project to the links at the bottom. We just love seeing how you use the theme!

Thank you to our lovely challenge sponsor

  1. Such a cute pup! I tried to put a Santa hat on Zeus one Christmas and he just wanted to eat it. Love all the different elements you’ve added, makes me want to go scrap a page!
